SCHOOLS & GROUPS

Schools

All our junior sessions tie in with the National Curriculum's Physical Education Programme - Key stages 1, 2 and 3. Climbing is listed in the GCSE PE specification and is based around the NICAS Award Scheme. We can provide both educational and/or activity-based sessions for schools with children age 4 and up.

Educational Sessions

Highball is an awarding centre for both NICAS and NIBAS – national awarding schemes for junior climbers. Both schemes have 5 levels of achievement and focus on safety, technical climbing and personal development. Level 5 is roughly equivalent to GCSE level. We can design bespoke programs for both of these schemes for schools who wish to add climbing to their school’s programme.

Activity Sessions

We can provide one-off climbing sessions for any size school groups. Sessions can be Climbing or Bouldering, or both. We can also add slacklining to the program if schools want a long extended session. Previous bookings include 1-hour climbing tasters for 6 and 2-hour activity sessions for 60.
